Balloon and stepper motors installation, a playful visualisation of the audience’s engagement. In collaboration with CWI and the fashion designer Borre (ByBorre).
Tangible Air is an electromechanical installation, or shape-changing sculpture, envisioned for the visualisation of the aggregated sensor data of audiences. Wearable technology collects the bio-signals of the audience members, which are then analyzed and processed, and converted into a physical form. The installation is a unique collaboration between the digital artist Lilia Pérez Romero, in charge of the concept and its development, and Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), in charge of the infrastructure and the technology behind the sensors, together with the textile designer ByBorre.
